Strange Times are here ....

Well it has arrived ... or perhaps I should say ... they have arrived. I've had 100 copies of my hardcover collection of the Strange Times webcomic printed at MPG Biddles ... I've had to greyscale it for cost reasons but it looks really great ... thanks to Andy Bloor's work designing it from cover to cover ... asking for extra doodles here and there ... and generally nudging me along the way to get it done.

The book contains all pages on the web (and a few that aren't there yet), extra pages here and there, pin-ups from the likes of Andy, Garen Ewing, Shane Oakley, Colin Mathieson, Will Kirkby, Dave Hughes, Steve Holder and of course INDIO. It also contains a 'not to be seen on the web' Secret Origin of Mr Rock special feature ... who could resist ... oh yeah .. also .. I've put it all in chronological order ... starting 9 months after the beginning, going through the days it all started and ending a thousand or so years into the future.

The hardcover little A5 book runs to about 170 pages and costs a tenner ...

You will be able to pick up a copy at the UK Cons .. or through the webcomic itself over on http://www.accentukcomics.com/ ... or you could avoid it by keeping well away from such places :o)

  1. It's a great book - thanks for letting me work on it with you... well worth a tenner of anyone's cash I reckon!

  2. It wouldn't look half as good had you not designed it's look from cover to cover ... thanks as always ...

  3. That looks really great, Dave. 170 pages of that stippled, tiny lined detail...and I thought I was crazy:) I had a quote from Biddles recently (as I knew many small pressers used them) but it was absolutely ridiculous, really expensive....

  4. Well I guess yours must have had colour in it ? Mine is all greyscale .. I had to drop the spot colours as I knew that would hurt the price too much ... also I think A5 helped as it's a pretty standard UK paper stock size ... I tried my best to keep the whole thing as standard as possible ...
