I always send review copies of Accent UK books to the guys at Burnt Weiners, who have produce a great fun podcast that is somehow very informative, I hate to count the books I've picked up on the back of their recommendations, and they are usually spot on.
So I sent a couple of copies of Robot Shorts over to the Burnt Weiner crew, in the hope that they'd enjoy it and also mention it on one of their podcasts ... looks like I got 2 out of 2 and you can hear what they thinik of it over at http://www.burntweiners.com/2012/02/26/burnt-weiners-episode-105-i-vampire-batman-robot-shorts/.
Thanks for the words of support and encouragement guys, you certainly picked up on the intention behind the whole thing.

Well I've had this story in my mind for a few years now and inbetween Strange Times chapters I'm starting to build the pages. When I say 'build' it pretty much sums up the process. Inspired by my robot making activities of recent months, which involved sticking torn pieces of pages from books onto a shape and leaving words visible through the paint that have a relevance to the subject matter, I've taken this process to the two dimensional page.
To be honest I'm not sure how this'll turn out and how it'll look lettered. Maybe it'll be too confusing and busy, I'm enjoying the process though, as labour intensive as it is, and so will do the first chapter, letter it up and see if it works.
