Ian Ashcroft's Patreon

Just to let you all know that Ian Ashcroft, artist on Kia Wordsmith, has a Patreon where he will put up pencils for issue 3 of Kia before it sees print.

As well as the basic level there are some very attractive higher levels where you can get original art.

Go and check it out over at Ian.Ashcroft.Art

I'm in.

Last week was a very busy week.

...and it ended with a chat with the guys over on the ConstructingComicPodcast.
Ian Ashcroft and I chatted about Kia Wordsmith (of course) and also other projects.
We both really enjoyed meeting up with Matt and Noah and talking comics, give it a listen when you have 40 minutes or so spare.

Kia Wordsmith - ISSUE 2

I thought I'd share some good news.
Amongst the troubling times around it lifts me to get wonderful pages of artwork from the very talented Ian Ashcroft for issue 2 of Kia Wordsmith.
Here's a little taster of what to expect...
In a word .. 'Fabulous'.
I can't wait to get this comic out there.
We're hoping to launch it on Kickstarter in April.

Coming in 2019 - Kia Wordsmith issue 2

Ian has been producing some excellent pages behind the scenes and what I've seen is as stunning as expected. He's really perfecting his craft, his already is already up there.
The eagle eyed amongst you might see something strangely familiar.
It's all part of the plan.

Kia Wordsmith

I wrote the first issue for a fantasy story a while back.
It's one of those stories that needs the right artist to bring it to life, and I guess I forgot about it as I focused on the other comics that I currently have in production.
And then Ian Ashcroft got involved, producing art, with a Tales of WesterNoir story and when I saw his artistic style the Kia Wordsmith story sprang back into my mind and I asked Ian if he'd consider doing something bigger than  a 10 page story with us, once Tales of WesterNoir was done and dusted.
He said 'Yes'.
And so I sent his the script a few weeks ago, and he loved it.
Kia Wordsmith is in production.
And I can't wait to see how the world develops around her.
