As is also traditional I arrived an hour or so before anyone else, even though (well probably because) I have further to travel.
I decided to wait for them all in the Village Pub, enjoying an alcohol free cider. I must say that alcohol free drinks are actually pretty good these days.
We were one man down this time around, and so I played two characters. My half-orc Fighter Cleric and Geoff's half elven Ranger. We did pretty well, we're trying to prevent Vecna messing up the world (it seems that every world has at least one person who thinks they have a right to make everything work how they want it to).
Nobody died, but we didn't quite get our hands on what we were searching for.
We actually had a system for fighting our way through a whole load of powerful undead. we all followed the system, except for the gnome cleric who tried to turn them whenever he met them even though it always resulted in him running away in fear, and losing the contents of his bowels in the process.
On Sunday we went to the local pub for our lunch and as always the food was great.
Looking forward to the next weekend session in April. Thanks as always to DM Dave for organising everything and running such a great dungeon.
